Once upon a beautiful sunny summer day! A little blond haired, blue eyed girl was playing with her siblings plus friends in her front yard . A wonderful time was being had by all until the pretty little belle took some kind of a bad flip, thus ending with a badly broken bone at the elbow of her arm! Needless to say, the arm had to be set. The doctor insisted that momma and daddy take a walk way down the corridor of the hospital so he could do what he had to do.
When the parents returned, the arm had been set and the little girl was sleeping peacefully and comfortably. The doctor then began to explain, what he had done. After giving her a mild sedative he had to twist the bone into its proper setting and even with a sedative the child’s reaction can be very disturbing. He told the parents, they had a very special little girl in this child. In all his days in setting bones, he had never seen such a sweet, quiet whimper come from the lips as he quickly began to snap and then twist the arm into its proper setting! The Doc explained how the little girl jumped forward with her eyes bright and opened to there fullest capacity she whimpered, then looked at the Doc and back to sleep she went!!! The doc had thought he had seen an angel in those beautiful blue eyes that day, I believe he did! We call that angel Little T, she adds strength and beauty to our family circle! God gave her to us for a purpose, her beauty unfolds and displays itself in so many different capacities.
We as parents had better take inventory of what God has given us in our children! Each one was given for a purpose and we need to be aware of each distinct personality! The bible speaks clearly of children being a blessing from the Lord! Psalm 127:3
Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
The Hebrews regarded children as a blessing from the Lord (see Gen. 13:16; Ruth 4:13-16; 1 Sam. 1:11). They are a reward and heritage, bringing joy to their parents. Rearing a child is a sacred responsibility, and parents must depend on the Lord to help them guide their children.
Thank you God for allowing me and my husband to raise 3 beautiful blessings from you. May we as parents recognize how precious these gifts are that you have bestowed upon us! May we never take them for granted, or become unaware of their beauty. They will not always give us the joys we would like, but when we see them in Your beauty, it helps us to keep our focus on the end result of what they can become!
So, hey doc, you not only seen an angel that day, you set the arm of an angel back into its proper place!!!
